Dislike for those that are dif...Diversity is there. Dislike for those that are different is inevitable at the social/individual level. Even though in USA, many laws have been written, enforced to avoid discrimination at work or any other aspect of social interaction it is alive and well.<BR/><BR/>But it is pertinent to write that to discriminate is also to choose. I believe after half a life in USA, that one can not force others to like you. At the individual level.<BR/><BR/>Socially,discrimination is only a crime, when employers find ways to make one's life miserable at the work place for any reason, or for refusing to give one a job, having the credentials/experience.<BR/><BR/>This subtle difference is never mentioned. In my case much worse<BR/>than discrimination was being aware that native English speakers in USA, thought that I was less capable intellectually for having an accent.<BR/><BR/>Living in USA, there was this constant feeling that one was crashing a party.
